21-Year-Old Woman Killed In South Jersey Hit-And-Run, Police Searching For Driver: Prosecutors

Police were looking for a woman and a car after a deadly late-night hit-and-run crash in Millville, authorities said.

The body of Caroline Bump of Millville was discovered on the side of Glenside Road at around 1:39 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said in a news release. The 21-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said neighborhood surveillance video showed Bump was struck at around 11:11 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21. Her body was found more than two hours later by a passing driver.

Prosecutors said investigators wanted to talk to 22-year-old Breanna Rowley of Vineland. They didn't mention what her connection was with the crash.

Police were trying to find a silver 2003 Infiniti G35 with the New Jersey license plate E41RLB. The car was believed to have damage to the driver’s side headlight, windshield, and front bumper.
